MyOpportunityTracker leverages the distributor’s extensive transactional database to provide Tech Data customers with their own unique renewal opportunities for services, warranties and software licenses from more than 30 leading vendors.

Our latest efforts on that front have been focused on helping our customers more effectively track and capture renewal revenue associated with complex software licensing programs.”

MyOpportunityTracker now offers Tech Data customers the ability to track Microsoft software licenses sold with special pricing. By receiving these alerts, resellers ensure their customers do not lose access to critical applications at the special pricing they qualify for only if licenses are renewed before expiration. Additionally, Tech Data added several new functions to the tool. Resellers can now edit renewal expiration dates if license activation and original purchase dates are different, and a new search tool enables easier browsing of all opportunities.

With MyOpportunityTracker, resellers receive notice of service, warranty and software license renewal opportunities as many as 120 days prior to coverage expiration. Resellers can receive and review their renewal notifications anytime through techdata.com or via e-mail. MyOpportunityTracker enables resellers to efficiently sort and prioritize their renewal opportunities by vendor, expiration dates and end user to which the original service or solution was sold. Each opportunity includes pricing for new and extended service agreements, warranties or software licenses, as well as potential alternatives such as upgrades to more comprehensive coverage offerings or product enhancements.

MyOpportunityTracker offers quote-building functionality so resellers can instantly add their margin and produce a sales proposal they can forward to end-user customers. The tool also enables resellers to create their own custom renewal opportunities, including services, warranties and software licenses they originally purchased through other distributors.
